The house we were buying seemed to be in really good shape, but we still opted for an inspection.  Glad we did.  Mitch Sudy performed a whole house inspection.  He even checked the roof, attic and crawl space under the house.  He was very thorough and clearly understood what he was doing.  And he did find some issues of concern, particularly a wire with melted insulation in the breaker box.  My wife is in real estate and knows every inspector would not have gone to the lengths Mitch did looking for issues.  I would highly recommend Mitch.
